Packaged bread needs a kosher symbol. At one point in time, the AKC shared a list of manufacturer codes that indicated the kosher status of certain breads without a kosher symbol. These codes are outdated, and consumers should rely only on the kosher symbol of a bread product to confirm its kosher status.
