The MJCCA is not currently committed to having only kosher food on its campus. If one keeps strictly kosher, then they should be very careful about where they eat on campus.
The MJCCA campus has five different on-site areas where food can be sourced, listed below.
AKC Kosher Certified:
1. A Kosher Touch (caterer opposite the indoor pool) is an AKC-approved caterer that has a meat, dairy, and pareve kitchen. They provide food for the MJCCA preschool, many events, and they operate Fine & Dine Café.
2. Fine and Dine Café (at the right of the main entrance) is AKC-certified.
Both Kosher Touch and Fine & Dine Café have a visible kosher letter that specifies the kosher status of the foods, as well as a mashgiach who is present on site for all hours of operation and is available to answer any questions.
Not AKC Kosher Certified:
3. Cadranel’s Corner (in the pickleball complex)
4. Family and children’s cooking classes (in the Culinary Arts Studio)
5. Sue Sue’s Snack Bar (at the pool)
Although these establishments may sell prepackaged kosher foods with a kosher symbol on them, they are not AKC-certified, and any prepared foods may not meet Orthodox Kosher requirements.
